In today’s video: team captains boycott Blast, Allu reveals the truth behind Alexey Biskik, did Turkish fans boost Eternal Fire in the finals, and much more. Without further ado, let’s jump in! Let’s kick off with an interview from Dupreeh during Blast’s media day. According to him, his team will be the underdogs in the tournament, which might relieve some pressure and allow them to play more aggressively. However, Dupreeh is determined to win against Na’Vi and is eager to perform in front of the home crowd. Neff from Team Liquid opened up about the team's struggles against top 5 teams, stating that reaching the top 8 is often their realistic goal. He admitted his personal performance in the previous tournament was poor and promised to push himself at Blast to improve his stats. While some teams are focused on Blast, others are making roster changes. Fnatic brought in Gnog to replace Afro on loan, with a possible permanent signing later. MIBR also strengthened their lineup by signing Lukázy from Fluxo after reaching the quarterfinals. Insiders are buzzing about potential roster changes, with teams like FaZe and Vitality reportedly interested in Yim Hat from Mousesports. However, any moves will have to wait until after the Major to avoid rule violations. Would you like to see Yim Hat in another team, or do you think Mousesports is the best fit for him? Share your thoughts in the comments. Allu has also revealed new information about Alexi B’s departure from ENCE in 2019. According to Allu’s book, Sergey initiated the move, giving management an ultimatum to either remove Alexi B or he would leave. At the time, Sergey was considered one of the best players, so ENCE had to make a tough decision. Bro is currently undergoing trials at ENCE, sparking mixed reactions. Some joke that Astralis claims Bro has health issues preventing him from competing, yet he’s apparently healthy enough to trial for other teams. Bro could be a strong addition to ENCE, but we’ll have to wait and see. Now, let’s talk about the ongoing Astralis scandal. It all began when Astralis replaced Bro with Kadian despite Bro being registered for Blast due to "health issues." Bro and his agent insisted that he was healthy and ready to play, but Blast allowed Kadian to stand in. This sparked outrage among other team captains, leading six out of eight teams to boycott media day in protest. The captains included Kerrigan, Apex, Snappy, Alexi B, Twistzz, and Snax. Only Spirit and Astralis attended, with Spirit’s Chopper explaining he was unaware of the protest. Heroic even released merch mocking the situation, and as a result, the teams that boycotted media day received penalty points. You might ask, why does this matter? Blast tournaments award points for participation, which impacts qualification for Majors. So this is more than just a one-off issue. Astralis tried to bend the rules, leading to a formal statement from several team captains protesting the use of emergency substitutions for non-emergency reasons. In response, Blast modified their rules, but only starting in 2025. For now, they stood by Astralis’ claim, which led to even more criticism from the community, with Bro’s agent stating that Bro is fully healthy and ready to play. Astralis was fined, losing seeding points and 25% of their prize money, which Kerrigan humorously donated to a mental health charity. The fallout has sparked discussions about reviving the Counter-Strike Professional Players Association (CSPPA) to protect players' rights, especially around mental health and tournament frequency. Speaking of which, players like JL have complained about the tight tournament schedules, which leave little time for rest or training. Many believe this is contributing to burnout and mental health issues among players. In other news, the final match between Na’Vi and Eternal Fire at the ESL Pro League saw controversy regarding fan interference. Blade from Na'Vi accused Turkish fans of shouting and giving hints to players, which Major denied. Thorin and other community members joined the debate, discussing the impact of fan interference in LAN events. Thank you for watching!
