Tonight is the birthday of the last Imam of Shiites, the savior of mankind, Hazrat Mahdi (A.S.). On the nights of Imams birth, in the streets of Iran, especially in Mashhad, people distribute saffron syrup, sweets, cocoa milk, tea, sandwiches, Shole zard, lentils, soup, rice and stew, etc. This tent always offers fried potatoes during holidays and Muharram ceremonies.
