Hyperventilation is a type of breathing that is very fast and shallow. In most of the cases it is brought on by mental strain especially trough emotions such as anger, fear and worries. When we start to hyperventilate, we start breathing with our chest instead the diaphragm.  This sort of breathing causes your blood oxygen levels to rise and dramatically decreases carbon dioxide levels. It can be a trigger for many other anxiety related symptoms such as the following.  - Breathlessness - Blurry or distorted vision- Tingling and numbness in any body part- Choking sensation- Lightheadedness- Dizziness- Faint feeling- Rapid heart beat- Chest pain- Stomach aches- Muscle tension- Fear of going crazy- Derealization- Muscle twitching - Muscle cramping - FatigueAnd many many more. These symptoms can feel dangerous and scary but you should always remember that they will not harm you and once you have controlled your breathing all related symptoms should diminish.
