The newly-returned Richie Cunningham (Ron Howard) and Fonzie (Henry Winkler) are enjoying a game of pool when they notice a drunk customer getting rough with a waitress. Fonzie tries to diffuse the situation when the drunk pulls a knife.
Before Fonzie even gets to make a move to defend himself, Richie defeats the drunk with fighting skills her learned in the Army. Fonzie is dumbstruck (as is the audience), for this was not the same Richie that left three years ago.
