The following is a video production, highlighting the NFL career of Roger Staubach. As a kid, Staubach was the favorite player of my favorite professional team. I still possess an 8 x 10 autographed photo; I obtained in 1975 when I was 11 years of age. I received it from an Anderson-Little that Staubach endorsed during the 70's. This video project brought back many fond memories; growing up with the Dallas Cowboys and watching a legendary figure lead the offense.

This is a non-profit production and I hold no copyrights to the content within. This is a historical perspective of one of the best quarterbacks to compete in the NFL, on and off the field. Included in the feature are historical accomplishments to be shared by all Cowboy fans and fans that appreciate the professional game.

I don’t follow the pro game as much but I appreciate the spirit of the game, which I once cherished as a young boy. Watching the old NFL Today show on CBS and the theme music was classic. It was a more simple program during a more simple time. The original Monday Night Football theme still makes me smile, though I utilized an upbeat version.

Composers Johnny Pearson, John Scott, John Cameron, Sam Spence, Carl Palmer, Simon Park and David Robidoux bring back memories of watching the Game of the Week programs as well as any of the NFL Films productions.

The feature is rather lengthy but well deserving based on the accomplishments of Roger Staubach. Though he was in the NFL for 11 seasons, he only started the majority of eight seasons, making 114 starts during his career. He made the most of his opportunities, as the data within the video will reveal. Roger averaged only 22 pass attempts per game during his career and 25 as the starter. It was a different time, when passing games complemented the running game. If you are a Cowboys fan, take a walk down memory lane by viewing this video. I started out wanting to pay tribute to Staubach’s NFL career and was rewarded with seeing a lot of the co-stars of the Dallas offense along the way.

Drew Pearson, Tony Hill, Golden Richards, Billy Joe Dupree, Preston Pierson, Robert Newhouse, Ron Springs, Scott Laidlaw, Tony Dorsett and many more…

I had forgotten how much of a role Drew Pearson played back in the day, teaming up with Roger Staubach and then Danny White. I hope he makes the HOF the next go-around.
