What Adapter for Minolta 50mm F:1 7?

The Sony adapters for its Full-Frame cameras namely a7 series and a9 are the LA-EA3 and EA4 depending on what type of lens you are trying to connect. I got a sharp f/1.7 Minolta AF 50mm prime lens. Supposedly the proper adapter for this lens is the LA-EA4. Since the EA4 is super expensive and I was able to buy a used EA2 for a reasonable price, my immediate question was: will this adapter designed for a6000 and other APS-C Sony cameras work with my a7ii?
