Sinego and Ácido Pantera 'Melancolia'
Colombian/Mexican multi-instrumentalist, DJ, and producer Sinego and fellow Colombian electronic music production duo Acido Pantera announce the upcoming release of their collaborative single “Melancolia”. Inspired by those 4am moments when the rave ends and the "after" starts, the nostalgic late night track drops worldwide across digital platforms via Sony Latin imprint Orianna on Friday, 21 January.
The collaboration, a mixture of Sinego’s Bolero/indie sounds and Ácido Pantera’s energetic/tribal style, features sultry spoken word and moody lyric verses. “Melancolia” grooves its way across the dance floor with added guitar strings and traditional Colombian Gaita. Sinego explains “That ‘4am’ moment is very important for me. It's when I start remembering all of the love stories electronic music has left me and my music becomes more personal. I wanted to capture that on a track.” Sinego enjoyed the opportunity to produce a more leftfield record with Ácido Pantera. “It felt like the right moment to get in the studio and create a track together,” he says. “We’re thrilled with the result, which is a mixture of my style of nostalgia and the sabrosura from Ácido Pantera. A mysterious and surreal track, it showcases a unique and new view of what Latin music means.”
