If you're new to AutoCAD, this video will walk you through drawing a plan in AutoCAD for interior design. In this video, you'll see how to set up and draw an AutoCAD floor plan of a typical apartment. You will use AutoCAD's fundamental tools for drawing and moving objects.
Drawing this type of floor plan in AutoCAD is suitable for interior design projects, home design, home renovation projects.
The home that we are drawing in AutoCAD here is a cozy 2 bedroom apartment in a West London townhouse that has been measured. We will draw just the open plan living, dining and kitchen space.

LA - LAYER/Manages layers and layer properties
PL - PLINE/Creates a 2D polyline
L - LINE/Creates straight line segments
REC - Rectangle
C - Circle

Many furniture, fixtures and lighting suppliers provide dwg block downloads of their products to designers and Architects for use in their drawings.
