In this video you will meet a patient who has had severe vocal and motor tics since he was six years old. His mother first noticed his Tourette's when there was a problem with his walking. He soon developed facial tics as well as vocal tics as you will see in the video. This patient came to our office having tried everything. He was hospitalized, given tons of medication, numerous tests, and every therapy you could think of. Nothing helped reduce his tics until he tried Dr. Stack and Dr. Brown's approach with splint therapy. You will see the patients tics reduce about 40% immediately once his Gelb appliance is placed in his mouth. He returns the next day for a check up after wearing the appliance for 24 hours and his tics are greatly reduced.
