Goiter is an enlargement of the thyroid gland, which is located in front of the neck. Although often harmless, the thyroid gland disorder may occasionally cause discomfort by interfering with your swelling or breathing. Generally most people do to exhibit symptoms than a slight swelling on the neck. What are the causes for Goiter? Man cause is iodine deficiency. In Graces disease also we see Goiter and Hashimoto’s disease also we see Goiter, and in thyroid cancer also we see Goiter symptoms and swelling of the thyroid gland and in some people pregnancy also we see. Types of Goiter. there are two types of Goiter. One is nodular Goiter and there one is Diffuse Smooth Goitre. Diffuse Smooth Goitre means enlargement is there uniformly in the thyroid. So in Nodular Goiter, swelling will occur in some part of thyroid. So that is called as Nodular Goiter. So what are the Symptoms of Goitre ? There is Constriction of Neck, sometimes Cough and Pain also will be there due to pressure on the neck and breathing also sometimes will be difficult. Diagnosis of Goitre is by ultrasonography. We can treat Goitre by Homeopathy without any surgical procedures. So many good remedies are there for Goitre. In homeopathy we treat the patient according to constant treatment, which means we take the totality of the symptoms means disease symptoms, physical and mental symptoms.
