Pelé, a Peregrine Falcon and Raptor-in-Residence here at the Alaska Raptor Center was found on the ground in Washington. The cause of his injury is unknown, though it is suspected that he collided with a car, building or wire. Due to this soft tissue damage, his flight is limited to just a few feet. Pelé now helps to educate the public about Peregrine Falcons and the dangers they face in the wild.
