Mattress Toppers: How to Store A Memory Foam Topper

From time to time, people will ask us how to store their memory foam toppers.
So today, we are going to cover how to store a memory foam topper.
This is very simple.
In this instance, we have a King sized 2" memory foam topper.
Between 2" and 4" is very typical for a memory foam topper.
Basically, we take this king sized topper, and fold it in three sections.
Then we just roll it.
What you will definitely need to have is a bag of some kind.
The bag needs to be large enough to cover the topper and have some extra plastic on the other side.
Of course, it needs to be airtight as well.
It may take two people to compress into the bag, depending on what kind of space and set up you have.
And from there, you take the topper rolled up, and put it in the bag.
Put the topper in the bag far enough so that you can pull the plastic over the end of the topper.
After doing this, get your regular household vacuum, or a ShopVac works well as well.
You want to form a seal from the vacuum hose suction side to the open end of the plastic bag.
You can usually do this with your hands quite easily.
When you turn the vacuum on, the memory foam is going to want to suction to the vacuum hose.
But keep some air space between the hose and the topper, inside of the bag.
From there, it takes a minute or so to compress, and then you take the hose out of the bag.
Twist the bag, and then tape the bag closed.
From here, your topper is ready to be stored, and it only takes a minute or two.
