In this video of Living the Jo life, we visit the holiday/vacation hotspot Sentosa Island in Singapore. Sentosa Island is only about 30 min away for downtown Singapore and it is known for its stunning beaches, cafes, restaurants, fun activities and entertainment. It is home to Universal Studios (closed the day we were there), an aquarium, a water park, and many activities such as bungee jumping, ziplines, a gravity-driven three-wheel cart, just to name a few. Sentosa Island is also known for its manicured beaches, including Palawan Beach, Siloso Beach and Tanjong Beach. We caught the cable car across from Vivo City Shopping Center to the island, which offers some amazing views over the water and of the lush green vegetation on Sentona Island. Our first planned stop was the Merlion Station, where we discovered that the Sentosa Merlion has been demolished since 2019. After a nice refreshing coconut drink and ice cream, we went for a walk along the beach, which was when the rain set in. We decided to check out iFly, which provides an indoor skydiving experience within a 5 m wide and 17 m tall wind tunnel. Kasper did six 45 sec flights and an instructor-guided flight at the end. After the iFly experience, we caught the free shuttle bus to Tanjong Beach, only to discover that most things were either closed or under renovation. Later in the day, we had a nice lunch at the Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Resort before heading back via the cable car to downtown Singapore.
