Why Foxes Dive Headfirst Into Snow – Secret Hunting Technique (Mousing)

Winter times are not the easiest for foxes, which have to look for their prey under several feet of snow. But these sly animals have greatly adapted to winter conditions and many red foxes are known to practice something that is called mousing.

According to this secret hunting technique, these predators use their sharp sense of sound and Earth’s magnetic field to figure out, when to pounce in order to land on its unlucky prey.
