Ep. 19 CONE FLOWER MIXED MOSAIC, a donation, sample project, Blue Ridge discovery!

Ep. 19. Cone flower project with precision cut petals and beads, a touching donation, precision sample mosaic, hammer & Hardie Demo, progress on smalti mosaic, discovery on Main Street in Blue Ridge.

I make a mosaic cone flower with Apoxie Sculpt and seed beads. And a surprise donation that desperately needs sorting and deconstructing. Then the jewelry can easily be used in a mosaic! I show how grout is stored to get the best shelf life. Then I grout a precision cut stained glass mosaic also made for class.
At last I have a chance to work on Day by Day, my smalti mosaic. I cut the smalti with a hammer and hardie to create an inventory, then flip my project around to work on the top easily.
Finally I discover a mosaic artist with a small shop in Blue Ridge, GA while on vacation. Gulay "Grace" Cagli owns Unique Art Design shop on Main street.

BONUS: My husband found a forgotten flower mosaic in a piece of luggage!
