In today's tutorial I'll show you how to use Scene Edit Detection in Premiere Pro 2024.

If you've ever had to work with pre-edited or flattened footage in Premiere Pro, you know how time-consuming manually hunting for all the cuts in a video file can be.

Maybe a client has asked you to recut or reframe a previously edited video. Perhaps you want to color grade individual scenes, or add effects to specific shots, or transitions between shots. Anytime you're editing a video clip with a bunch of cuts already "baked in".

This is where Scene Edit Detection in Adobe Premiere Pro 2024 comes in. Scene Edit Detection automatically detects scene changes in flattened footage.

With just a couple clicks, you can instantly:

1. Add a cut at each detected cut point in your clip.
2. Create a bin of subclips from each detected cut point.
3. Create a clip marker at each detected cut point.

The Scene Edit Detection feature is a game-changer when it comes to working with pre-edited footage.
