Ronnie-Leigh Goeman is a basket maker from the Onondaga Nation working in the Iroquois style.  Alongside her husband, sculptor Stonehorse Goeman, Ronnie creates baskets out of endangered black ash, as well as sweet grass, moose hair and quills. Her husband carves miniature sculptures which sit atop Ronnie's baskets.  Paul Niemi of http://unclepauliesworld.blogspot.com, an arts and culture blog, spoke to Goeman at the 53rd Annual Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair and Market in Phoenix about her work and how the economy has affected her career  for his "Heard @ the Heard 2011" series.
