You want your mouse cursor to be properly aligned in Fortnite.

So your clicks are where you expect them to be.

But sometimes you can have a problem with your cursor alignment in Fortnite, and this is known as mouse offset.

This problem seems to affect you in the Fortnite menu, and it's quite annoying. But it can also cause trouble when trying to rearrange your inventory in-game.

Here's the steps you need to do to fix it:

1. Set your window mode to fullscreen

If you're using window mode or windowed fullscreen mode, this can cause problems with your mouse alignment.

All you have to do to fix this is go to your Fortnite settings and change the window mode to fullscreen.

Also, you want to make sure your resolution is set the same as your monitor. For most people, this is 1920 x 1080.

If this didn't solve your problem, go to step 2.

2. Check your resolution in the Fortnite GameUserSettings file

If you've used a stretched resolution in Fortnite, then you will be familiar with the GameUserSettings file.

The GameUserSettings file can be found in this file path:

AppData - Local - FortniteGame - Saved - Config - WindowsClient

You want to make sure your ResolutionSizeX, ResolutionSizeY, LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeX, and LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeY are set to 1920 and 1080 respectively (or whatever resolution you want to use).

You are only able to edit the GameUserSettings file by unchecking the read-only option in its properties.

But make sure you change it back to read-only once you've made your changes.

This solved my problem, however, if you're still having problems then go to step 3.

3. Check your display resolution

You could be having a problem with your mouse alignment because your display resolution and Fortnite resolution are set to different values.

Depending on your graphics card, you will need to set your resolution in the NVIDIA Control Panel or AMD Radeon settings to the correct values.

Also, you need your display resolution in Windows set to the same as everything else.

You can do this by right-clicking on your desktop and choosing display settings.

Making these changes should solve your mouse cursor alignment problem. But if you're still having problems, leave a comment below and I will try to help you out.
