Milk Steaming | One Minute Coffee Tutorial (Almost)

The tutorials in this series will get you brewing great tasting coffee without having to sit through 3-5 minutes of rambling or scanning through the video to find the meat and potatoes. Designed for the beginning to intermediate home coffee brewer who cares more about great tasting coffee than the science and theory behind it.

I couldn't quite get milk steaming under the 1:30 mark without it being totally unusable. Hope you enjoy!

1. Purge wand
2. Place pitcher on wand
   -tip of wand halfway submerged under the milk
   -wand 1/3 of the way off the side of the pitcher
3. Turn wand on
   -look for milk to spin (vortex) and listen for air being drawn in    (sucking sound)
4. After a few seconds, move pitcher up slightly to stop the introduction of air
5. When the pitcher becomes too hot to touch for more than a second or so, turn wand off
6. Purge and wipe wand immediately
7. Go make a tasty cappuccino
