Ranjani and Gayatri present a
Ranjani and Gayatri present a unique Ragam Thanam Pallavi in three ragas- Saraswati, Lalitha and Durga. Set to a cycle of Khanda Ata Tala, the lines of the Pallavi are on the Trinity of Goddesses- Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati.

The piece alternates seamlessly between three ragas through the alapana, thanam, neraval and culminates in the exciting kuraippu, showcasing both the richness of the carnatic form, as well as the sisters' dexterity in handling complex Pallavis.
"We sang this piece in May 2020 when the city was in complete lockdown, and the recording happened in the roof garden of our home. This Pallavi which is a favorite of ours is part of our very first concert on Voncerts.com. It is a bittersweet feeling to present this here, as a tribute to our most beloved mother, Smt Meenakshi who passed away on Mar 31st 2021. Be it the courage and strength of Durga, the benign resplendence of Lakshmi or the gnana of Saraswati, Amma quietly radiated all these qualities, Her utter simplicity and groundedness will continue to inspire us, as we remember her and her incredible spirit."
