A documentary covering the final year of the countdown period to the Hong-Kong hand-over. These films watch events unfold through the eyes of local people. They represent the different communities and the different social strata of Hong Kong – from street people to tycoons, from expatriates to the new Chinese administrators. In so doing we make this a personalised story instead of a political one. By getting to know these we understand the impact of the transition on a human scale. -
