The Knob Creek Single Barrel
The Knob Creek Single Barrel Select Bourbon is a Store-specific offering (also known as a "Store Pick), from a bourbon barrel specially chosen by your local retailer through Knob Creek's Single Barrel Program. Store picks provide you the opportunity to get unique notes from bourbons that you might not get with a mass-produced whiskey. If you are passing up on store picks, you are shorting yourself tasting notes and unique experiences! This Knob Creek has a Mashbill: 77% Corn, 13% Rye, 10% Malted Barley and is aged for nine years.
While we have our own opinion on this bottle, here is what the distillery says about it:
THE PROOF
Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve is bottled at 120 proof to preserve its distinct characteristics.
THE CHAR
We torch our white oak barrels to a level four char to draw out rich vanilla and caramel notes.
THE CLIMATE
All Knob Creek barrels are aged in Clermont where the uneven climate makes for a dark, rich bourbon.
THE AGE
All Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve is aged for a minimum of nine years for the fullest flavor.
