Coming from a public relations background  in Venezuela, Any Riera Ortiz decided to pursue a Certificate of Proficiency in English for Professional Communication at SCS as a steppingstone to a career in marketing in Canada. The ongoing pandemic presented a difficult set of obstacles for Any and her family. However, she persevered through these trying times by hard work and determination, along with a little help from the donors of the SCS Scholarships.
