Top 10 Classic Cards That No Longer See Play

Classic Magic the Gathering is the period of Magic ranging from its initial release in 1993 up until the release of Sixth Edition in 1999. Sixth Edition came alongside some of the most substantial revisions to the rules the game has ever seen. From the creation of keywords like haste to artifacts no longer “turning off” when tapped, the game shifted drastically. And as the years passed and new cards and rule changes came, the disparity between Classic Magic and contemporary Magic only grew. Today we’ll be looking at cards that were once quite powerful options in Classic Magic that are no longer playable by today’s standards.
