This is a play-through using Cyber-Akuma in the PS1 version of Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter. Read on below for more information...

Cyber-Akuma is the final boss of this game. He is an unlockable playable character.

===== Additional Information =====

---- If you complete the game with Cyber-Akuma, you'll get the usual generic hidden character ending.

---- He operates as a lone single character.

---- As a normal-sized boss character, he can appear on other backgrounds.

---- His basic overhead move (F + [MP]) is never used by the CPU, meaning that it can only be seen when a human player uses it.

---- When he does the Thunder Gou Shower, in this version of the game the 'super move dramatic background' (the coloured scrolling) remains until he finishes the move. This is unlike the Arcade and Saturn versions, where when he does this move, the dramatic background disappears during it. They fixed this for the PS1 version.

---- His character design is very slightly based on his console version Cyberbots appearance (as Z-Gouki)... notice the identical mechanical arm and face plate.

---- In Japan, he is known as Mech-Gouki.

---- The Japanese version of the game is known as Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter: EX Edition.

===== About Cyber-Akuma =====
He's basically the 'Marvel' version of Shin Akuma. He's a very fitting boss for the Capcom side in the game, and unlike Apocalypse he actually provides a decent challenge for the player. I found it very disappointing that he wasn't in Marvel vs. Capcom 2... if you ask me, he would've made a perfect hidden boss in it.

Gameplay-wise, he obviously plays similar to regular Akuma. It's ridiculous on how absurdly powerful this guy is... he dashes fast, has large fireballs which he recovers quickly from, can combo well, can combo ground supers easily and inflicts massive energy depletion.

===== About PS1 MSH vs. Street Fighter =====
As with X-Men vs. Street Fighter, due to the RAM limitations of the PS1 hardware, huge cuts needed to be made in porting the arcade game to the console... and the main cut is the fact that you cannot switch characters during a fight. Therefore it operates more like a traditional one-on-one fighter, consisting of separate rounds. Tag elements such as the Support strike, Counter and the Team Super Combo are still possible though.

Additionally, for PS1 MSH vs SF, Capcom has included a mode called Cross Over which actually allows character tag-team switching - with the drawback being that 1P and 2P side's characters will always mirror each other. So for example, if Player 1 chooses Ryu and Spiderman, Player 2 will also have Spiderman and Ryu. By doing this it makes the tag-team switching possible because technically only 2 characters are being stored in the PS1's RAM.

Other drawbacks include many animation sprite frame cuts, making some moves look a bit choppy and jerky. If you're used to the Arcade or Saturn versions and have a keen eye for sprites (like myself), you'll definitely notice the cuts.

New features of this version includes the ability to cancel Special Moves into Super Combos, and Super Combos into another Super Combo.
