Some Random Talk Talk:
Some babies were born in the platy tank last night! Any tips will be appreciated. They are in there with two platies and four cories. Should I move them out? I put a sponge over the filter so they cant get sucked up easily. I was told at the fish store they can eat tropical fish flakes. Is that true? And is this enough hiding places?

Just ordered some Kanaplex.. hopefully she can hang in there! Have been doing salt baths every day, and bought this Imagitarium bacterial infection remedy. Already tried treating with Maracyn 2 but only continued to worsen, and she stopped eating and moving. But with what I've been doing she is back to being active and eating. So hopefully she will hang on till Saturday! Any thing else I can do for Popeye?

Start by clearing a spot where you’d like to have then the next step is get all the supplies and things to make it operable next it find a good time you’ll have the home alone after that you’ll have to get the 6x2x2 with a little help of course into the vacant residence set it all up have it running by time the someone returns when they notice act like it’s yoir first time noticing and start freaking out with them next thing you know it’s a done deal.

Start showing them pictures of fish... so that they "pick" their favorite. Then make that the main first fish you pick out. they think they have won and you get a bigger tank then when you were dreaming small. Thats what I did. Now I have 2 29g tanks and a 150g tank! Same goes for plants and better filters.

I love all typea of guarami, I've kept a variety of them and for the most part they're pretty good . BUT i stopped keeping dwarf guarami because of the dwarf guarami disease.  Three different types,  3 different tanks and from different pet stores all my dwarfs died in the course of 3-6 mo ths from it. My lfs owner even told me he's not ordering more because of the way they're being bred now they dont last long and he has customers come back to him unhappy. I did find articles about the disease and theres nothing to prevent it. I like them too much to keep going thru that so bbn i just stopped keeping them.

I have a Golden Gourami with 2 Angelfish. He is more of an a joke than the angelfish! Use appropriate tank mates and provide cover for smaller and weaker fish.

Had two opaline, one tried to kill the other and everything in the tank, gave it to lfs. The second one is a sweetheart after i nursed him back to health. Get's along with everithing and he come to the glass to talk to you everytime you get close to the aquarium.

Gouramies are territorial, if you want medium sized ones you should have a pretty big tank, and not keep them with smaller sized species.
How you decorate the tank is also quite important if you want them not to act territorial. Don't mix all kinds of fish just because you have seen fish you want, get another tank instead.

Notice the tank is 500 litres, it is blackwater, their natural living conditions, and the surface is parted up by driftwood to separate them into different territories. I even got sparkling gouramies living in in between the territories where no one else can reach..  I spent 7 years catching fish in a certain area to find what species lived together.

I have a pair of pearl gouramis, opaline gouramis and a silver style gourami (don’t know the exact name).  They are in a 125 gallon tank with small fish.  They chase each other more than chasing the other fish.  They add a lot to the tank.  I always had gouramis.

I had a blue when I was starting out and it was such a jerk that I put him in my friends African cichlid female tank. They nip at his feeler things sometimes but he has been doing well in the tank for nearly two years now.

I had a Golden Gourami that was very aggressive and lived until he was  6 years old. By the end I had him in his own tank because he bullied my Angels. Now I have an Opaline and a Red Flame dwarf Gourami in my other community and they are doing well but my Opaline is clearly in charge despite possibly being a female.

I have 4 I noticed when the water is nearing the need for a water change then they seem to pick on each other a bit other than that they are awesome swimming all around. I have two blue dwarf gouramis. They pick on each other a bit but not really the other fish in the tank. One of them is very possessive about a log cave. He won't let other fish in it.
