'Hindus shouldn't become intolerant like others' | Javed Akhtar's viral speech

Well-known lyricist Javed Akhtar has praised the Hindu community for its tolerance about varied ideas. Speaking at a Diwali function, Javed Akhtar said that some others were always intolerant, but Hindus were not like that. He also said that it is due to the tolerance shown by Hindus that democracy has taken roots here, while it is absent from India's western borders to the Mediterranean. However, he also had a word of caution, saying that Hindus should not become intolerant like others.
