Analysts expect Singapore inflation to stay bumpy before moderating over 2024

Analysts and Singapore's central bank expect a bumpy start to 2024 in consumer prices, before inflation moderates over the course of the year. The Monetary Authority of Singapore estimates that inflation will average up to 3.5% over this year, lower than last year's 4.8%. Meanwhile, the Singapore Department of Statistics said the lowest 20% of income earners were not hit as hard as other groups despite prices going up last year. Richa Mathew reports.
