Sky News host Andrew Bolt says Indigenous people have “more than a fair go” with their parliamentary representation – clashing with fellow host Chris Kenny on the Voice to Parliament. Mr Bolt said Indigenous people already make up a “higher percentage of our MPs than they do of the public”. Mr Kenny said he doesn’t think that fact is relevant as the Voice is not a “separate parliament” but an “advisory body”. “I don’t think the Indigenous background of people in parliament is what counts,” Mr Kenny said. “We don’t think that Ed Husic is there to represent Muslim Australians or that Josh Frydenberg was there to represent Jewish Australians. “They were there to represent their parties and their electorate.”
