No one's talking about the game-changing innovations at the FRONT of the Savage Impulse. This is a much stranger design than you might imagine. But what's happening up front is truly worth taking note of. The action is aluminum, not steel. You can't thread a barrel onto an aluminum action without expecting catastrophic results. That's why the Savage Impulse uses a steel barrel extension, locked in place by four bolts and a guide pin. That extension is where the Hexlock bolt actually locks up. And if you're concerned about the ability of the Impulse to handle high recoil, sounds like you need not worry. If it can handle .338 Lapua Magnum, it can probably handle whatever weird wildcat you've been dreaming about. If you want to see more videos like these, become a Patron of the Destructive Arts!
