Who doesn't love traveling on the roads specially on National Highways. These NH connect every nook and corner of this beautiful country and in a way are like the arteries of our India. These national highways are constructed by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and measure over 142,126 km.

While National Highways constitute 1.8% of Indian roads, they carry 40% of the traffic. In 2010, rationalization of their names were introduced and the nomenclature was defined.
