Beware! The other version of this on youtube was stolen from an earlier version I made - it has an entire reel of film in the wrong place!
Don Andres (Franco Garcia) and his son, Ernesto (Rudy Concepcion) are both in love with a pretty barrio lass, Amparing (Rosario Moreno). Amparing's father, Mang Teong (Pedro Faustino), works on the hacienda owned by Don Andres, and is not in favor of Don Andres' intentions towards Amparing. He advises her to not take any gifts from Don Andres.
Ernesto disguises himself as a lowly farmer to get near Amparing. The two eventually fell in love.
Mang Teong is fired when he refuses Don Andres' offer for Amparing's hand in marriage. Her mother, Aling Clara (Naty Bernardo) is suffering from a lingering illness. She learns of Ernesto's true identity. Amparing, feeling he was betrayed, breaks off with him.
Desperate, Amparing approaches Don Andres to help her father, who is in jail, and for her motherls care. In return, she agrees to marry him. An elaborate wedding, with a famous Swan Parade, is held. But Ernesto learns of the upcoming marriage and comes to the rescue. Don Andres realizes his mistake and asks for forgiveness.
