Close Call for Johnson County (Iowa) Deputies

Johnson County Sheriff Lonny Pulkrabek released this video, captured by a patrol car dash cam. In the video, "Trooper Jess Hernandez's vehicle was struck while parked on the shoulder of Interstate 80.  This is just a glaring example of how close we came to losing Trooper Hernandez, Deputy Hammes, along with Reserve Deputy Pearson.  All because a driver of a semi chose not to slow down when approaching a crash scene full of vehicles and emergency lights"
