Metro Bus Driver Assaulted in Downtown Los Angeles

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, July 17 (KNN) — A bus driver was assaulted in Downtown Los Angeles early Wednesday morning prompting a response from police and paramedics.
The Los Angeles Police Department's Central Division officers responded to a call of a Metro bus driver assaulted by a female passenger around 1:45 a.m. at the intersection of 7th Street and Broadway.
 The driver reported being assaulted by the female and hit the silent alarm on the bus. She fled the scene in an unknown direction.
 The driver was treated and released at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
