Life Cycle Of The Mung Bean Plant

The mung beans need water, air and warmth in order to germinate. Then the bean or seed swells, the seed coat breaks, the root appears, the shoot appears and the young plants start to grow upwards towards the sunlight. The young plant depends on the seed leaves for food until the first leaves appear. The seed leaves shrink and eventually drop off. The plant is now able to make its own food. Eventually it becomes an adult plant with flowers and fruit. The ripe fruit contains seeds which after dispersal will germinate when it lands on a suitable place.
By the way, the mung bean plant also needs LOVE to grow healthily. Don't forget that!
