HLI Training video for L-730/L-740 Series Lasers that details how to use the L-743/L-733 Triple Scan® Lasers to align guideways (rails) on CNC machinery. It shows how to initially set up the laser, check flatness and straightness of the 1st guideway, and also how to transfer the laser to the other side of the machine to check the 2nd guideway for flatness/straightness and parallelism to the 1st guideway.
The L-743 Triple Scan® Laser Alignment System offers 3 automatically rotating laser planes that are accurate to .00003 in/ft (0.0025 mm/m). This is a powerful measurement tool for measuring surface/axis flatness, squareness and straightness but also a tool that uses real-time data to FIX alignment problems in a fraction of the time needed with conventional methods. Capabilities include:
- Surface flatness of almost any surface (squares, frames, ways, flanges, circles, etc.)
- Straightness and flatness measurements of horizontally and vertically traversing axes
- Parallelism of horizontal and vertical surfaces even if those surfaces are 100 feet (30.5 meters apart)
- Checking guideway twist and parallelism between horizontal surfaces
- Checking guideway twist and parallelism between vertical surfaces
- Measuring surfaces up to 200 feet (61 meters) long with 1 setup
