Longleat Lion Cubs at four weeks old!

10th OCTOBER  - It's month since the four lion cubs were born and, despite being a first-time mum Malaika (it means 'angel' in Swahili) is proving to be a brilliant and very protective mother.
To celebrate the release of the Pride of Disney,  THE LION KING 3D, two new African Lion Cubs, born at Longleat Safari & Adventure Park on 10 September, have been named "Simba" and "Nala" after the much loved characters in Disney's animated epic.  The other two cubs were named "Enzi" which means 'Powerful' in Swahili and "Nyota" which means 'Star' in Swahili.
