Hallo and Welcome to Betty's simple kitchen: Here is a classic recipe of making small French sponge cake know as Madeleines:
They are sweet, buttery and taste so delicious. Be sure to try this recipe for they are quick ,simple and easy to make.

Ingredients:

125g butter (melted and not hot)
lemon juice from 1/2 a lemon
125g sugar
3 full eggs plus 1 yolk
125g All- purpose flour
a pinch of salt.

To make this recipe you will need a madeleine mould which is shell like shaped.

one of the most important step is to whisk eggs and sugar together for about 3 -4 minutes (until foamy) adding the sugar gradually for a smooth texture.

Because cold ingredients don't bond well use eggs in room temperature for a homogeneous mixture.

Madeleines taste best when served warm.

This Classic French patisserie are loved by kids.
