Can Jailed LS Election Winners Amritpal, Rashid Take Oath? Senior Advocate Vikas Singh Explains

Senior Advocate and Legal Expert, Vikas Singh speaking to ANI on Amritpal Singh and Rashid Sheikh winning elections in their respective constituencies, said that there is no minimum qualification for a citizen to contest election in the Constitution, this is the high time to amend this part. He further said that person locked in jail under criminal charges may not even be allowed a leave to take oath, which automatically will disqualify their membership.
