This is a test project I did using stencils cut out of regular paper. I used Elmer's Craftbond Repositional glue to attach the stencils and Krylon spray paint. The results were actually better than I expected.

I had to strip off much more paint than I thought I would have to, Murphy's Law in action. I relearned the lesson that spray paint doesn't work in the wind. Putting that aside, the paper stencils worked fairly well. I did have a few areas where the paint seeped under the stencils, other areas came turned out nice and sharp. I think it was errors on my part that caused this, if I ever get to it, I will do more testing.

I used http://tacticalcamo.com/MARPAT/digi.php to make the camo patterns for my stencils. If I had it to do again, I would choose primary colors when generating my pattern, just to make it easier to cut out. If you look at the video I only used the patterns as a suggestion.

I also mention a Photoshop macro in the video, you can find it here: http://tentakeljugend.blogspot.com/20....

I failed to mention on the video that the glue left residue, but after the paint dried it wiped off easily.
