On Cloudultra Review: 40-mile ultra test of On's first long-haul multi-terrain shoe

The On Cloudultra is the first running shoe from the Swiss brand aimed specifically at ultra runners tackling mixed terrain. It's also On's first off-road shoe to feature a combination of Helion foam,  Speedboard and double layers of Clouds with a new closed Cloud outsole that won't pick up stones.

It's built for comfort, cushioning and efficiency over the long haul on approach roads, compacted trails and mountain tracks but how does it stand up to the test?

We took it for a 40-mile run across tarmac and trails to find out if On has a wining shoe in the ultra game. Here's our multi-tester verdict on this On Cloudultra review.
