AK74 7N6 5.45x39 (Steel Core) vs. AR500 Armor® Body Armor

We test AR500 Armor® Level III Body Armor against the lighter higher velocity 7N6 5.45x39 round fired from an AK74. This round is closer to a 5.56 than a traditional AK47 in 7.62x39 in terms of ballistics - bullet weight and velocity. (5) rounds of 7N6 5.45x39 Steel Core Military Surplus and no penetration. Our PAXCON line-x spall & fragmentation mitigation coating performs well and contains all fragmentation upon impact.
