Golden Rain

This is a pretty classic chemistry demo called the Golden Rain. It involves precipitation of gold-colored lead iodide from a hot solution as it cools down. It is formed very simply by combining a soluble iodide salt with a soluble lead salt, in my case potassium iodide and lead nitrate.
