Srinagar: Upper Layer of Dal Lake Freezes Further Amid Sub-Zero Temperatures | News9

As Srinagar reeled under severe cold, Dal Lake’s upper layer froze further and turned into ice on January 06. The freezing of the upper layer started a few days back as the temperature started going sub-zero.
Along with the cold wave, a layer of fog also shrouded the Srinagar valley making life difficult, especially during the morning hours. As per the IMD, the minimum temperature was recorded at -3.0 degrees Celsius in Srinagar on Jan 06.
