'Homoeopathic Education and Training : Problems and Possible Solutions' a talk by Dr Rajan Sankaran

Several great homoeopaths have contributed towards the development of homoeopathic medicine and its literature since its discovery in 1790 by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, Tools were sharpened, philosophy expounded, and homeopathic practice evolved. However, by the 1930s [outside of India especially] the practice of Homoeopathy began to decline. This decline continued into the 1970s until George Vithoulkas emphasized the understanding of the mind state in his approach. As a result of this, the enthusiasm to study homeopathy was revived.  
From this time onwards, homoeopathic medicine continued to blossom and grow because of various contributions from masters like Jan Scholten, Jeremy Sherr, Dr. Praful Vijaykar, Dr. M. L. Dhawale, Dr. P Sankaran, Dr. M. L. Sehgal and many others. Further development occurred with the discovery of delusions, vital sensation, kingdoms, newer miasms and the seven levels of experience in case-taking and understanding.
India has emerged as a global leader in homeopathy, but the biggest challenge currently is the steep drop in students who are keen on practising Homoeopathy after they gain admission into homeopathic colleges. This is primarily due to the lack of clinical training in our present system, which greatly affects the student’s confidence in his or her own clinical abilities.
This issue requires serious attention and the only way it can be changed is if we are able to inspire, educate and train homoeopathic students through intensive, step- . This methodology has been happening for the past five years the other song - International Academy of Advanced Homoeopathy in Mumbai, India, and it has proved to be very effective.
