Despite a snowy morning, dozens
Despite a snowy morning, dozens of Staten Islanders -- who wanted to get first dibs on off price merchandise offered at Century 21 EDITION -- lined up outside the Staten Island Mall store on Monday morning.
Once open, many patrons darted to the vintage handbag section where a plentiful assortment of handbags from Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Balenciaga, Hermes and more were on display.
The vintage section at the store -- located on the second floor of the Macy's Wing next to the Apple store -- is through a partnership with LXRandCo, a Canadian-based company offering vintage handbags and other accessories.
There's also a host of new handbags by designers, such as Kate Spade, Michael Koors, Betsy Johnson, Bebe and Guess. There's also a large selection of designer sunglasses from various high-end frame designers, from Ray-Ban to Gucci.
While Century 21 representatives say the 5,000-square-foot store will be a "pop up location," they hope the store will have permanent residency in the Staten Island Mall.
