Thanks for checking out Treadmillreviews.com! This video is comparing the Peloton Tread with the similarly priced and equally sought-after NordicTrack X32i Incline treadmill. Upfront pricing on both treadmills is about the same - $4300. They both have a large, 32” HD touchscreen display, and work with a subscription service that gives you access to tons of fitness and workout videos. Both of these treadmills are great products in their own right but we’re in favor of the NordicTrack x32i incline treadmill. Stick around to find out why!
NordicTrack X32i and Peloton Tread Similarities
First, we get into the similarities. Because of a handful of fancy features, these treadmill seems almost identical. They both have an equally large touchscreen display (32”). The display on both treadmills are highly responsive, crystal clear, and provide great video quality. They both tilt up and down to adjust for glare and user height.
Both treadmills go beyond the standard on board workouts we are used to (and perhaps bored with) to utilize a subscription service to give the user a massive library of workout videos to choose from. Both subscription services (iFit and Peloton Digital) offer equally creative and engaging classes.
Upfront, the initial cost of these treadmills are nearly the same - just under $4300. They both include home delivery and set up in the cost.
Both treadmills have the same max user weight - 300 lbs.
Both treadmills offer equal quality speakers built into the console.
While these treadmills are different in their visual appearance, they both have these standard features:
Incline and speed controls
Tray and water bottle holders
Safety key
The running surface differs on these treadmills but we cant exactly say one is better than the other. The x32i uses a standard tread belt while the peloton tread uses an aluminum slat belt with rubber overmold. They feel very different to run on but will come down to preference.
While both treadmills are really cool, We’re in favor of the X32i. It offers an exciting workout experience with the high tech display and engaging subscription service, plus the added benefits of a trusted name like NordicTrack, longer warranty coverage, more durable components, and less cost with the free 12-month subscription and cheaper monthly subscription fee. Between the two, the X32i is a smarter purchase.
To go a little further, we also suggest taking a look at the x22i. If $4000 is a bit out of your price range, you can get virtually the same experience on the x22i for about $1000 less. The only major difference being a slightly smaller (but still huge) display screen and a slightly smaller motor (4.0 chp). And to be honest, the 22 inch HD display is plenty.
