A couple of days ago
A couple of days ago we archived the game called Imaginary Friend Asylum and there was already a game out by the same creator. The Friends We Left Behind tells the story of the same asylum, but is actually a sequel to Imaginary Friends when it comes to the story.
We are a character who heads to the abandoned asylum and all that are left are the imaginary friends. What happened to the children? What happened to the staff? We don't know, because we have to do our best to stay out of the claws of the Imaginary Friends.
This game plays a lot different than Imaginary Friends and I do have to admit that I prefer the gameplay style of Imaginary Friends. This particular game plays more like a point 'n click adventure game, but you have to be very strict on what you can and cannot do. Before each level there is a tutorial and you basically have to copy the tutorial in order to get it right. Some of the levels are great and very atmospheric. I loved Pixie's level the most. Others are a bit more confusing or even buggy like the first level or the bathroom sequence.
All in all I am very happy with the route that the developers took with their newest game and would love to see more of this interesting universe in that gameplay style. Let's see what the Imaginary Friends have in store for us!
