Hi everyone! Ready for a
Hi everyone! Ready for a new ride? This time we take a long ride on two Sprinters on a sunny day in our beautiful country.
0:00 Dordrecht
We start the morning ride in Dordrecht. Right after departure you can see the signs for a temporary speed limit. This is set for the track on the right side. After we've passed the E-sign our speed is set to 100km/h.

Today we drive past two of these spectacular bridges. This is the first one.

5:28 Kijfhoek Connection
Right after the viaduct you can see the tracks splitting up towards to shunting yard Kijfhoek.
8:02 Barendrecht
Just before we arrive at Barendrecht we'll enter the 'tunnel' which is not really a tunnel. It's just a structure above ground. On top of the roof there's also some green for a better looking environment.
11:00 Waalhaven Zuid Connection
Trains coming from Kijfhoek can here enter (or leave) the Waalhaven Zuid. On the left side you can also see the tracks joining in from the HSL coming from the Belgium Border.
11:38 Rotterdam Lombardijen
The intercity coming from Dordrecht is just a few minutes behind on schedule. This makes us slow down a little. After departure from Lombardijen we take it easy so we can drive on full speed as soon as the intercity is far enough ahead of us.
16:41 Rotterdam Stadion
On the right side the Rotterdam Stadium with on the left side the station. Only in service with events going on in the stadium. Compared to Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena this station is a bit of a pitty if you ask me (not a soccer fan here btw).
17:45 Rotterdam Zuid
19:25 Willemsspoortunnel + Blaak
The intercity service is still hindering us to drive on full speed.
23:45 Rotterdam Centraal
Time to change trains! It's the end of the line for this train and our passengers must leave the train so it can get shunted away. We change trains to platform 16. Get ready for the ride to Amsterdam (via Gouda). There's delayed intercity running ahead of us again. So we must take it slow for a while.

On he left side you can see the tracks from Den Haag and Alphen a/d Rijn joining in. We must slow down again. The intercity ahead of us also jammed the intercity coming from the Den Haag direction. Which is now running ahead of us.

There it is! That other fantastic looking bridge.
47:53 Gouda
At this station passengers change trains for the direction Utrecht, Alphen a/d Rijn and The Hague.

54:55 Driving on Province Border
Not very common is driving on the province border with the train. On this part of our trip we do this twice! On the left side Zuid-Holland and on the right side Utrecht.
55:19 Camera Checks Trains Systems
A special camera setup for checking the pantographs and more. Another setup can be found just before the Schiphol Tunnel coming from Hoofddorp.
55:40 Oudewater
Extra tracks are taken away here. In the near future ProRail will also relocate and place extra light signals so trains can follow up each other faster.

After the tracks coming from Alphen a/d Rijn joined in we arrive at Woerden.

At this location at January 8, 1962 a terrible train accident occurred. After this the safety system ATB was implemented on the tracks and in the trains. After passing this point we turn left heading towards Breukelen.

Awesome looking station next to the Amsterdam Stadium. Because of a delayed Intercity I check in with the train manager so he can wait a little longer before closing the doors. Afterwards this was not needed. :)

On the lower level of this station the trains from/to Amsterdam Zuid - Diemen Zuid are passing.
