But there’s a chapter from our not too distant past that’s generally been overlooked so far - but that's all about to change thanks to renowned Celtic Author, Matt Corr.
With the club in the post-Larsson era and having lost the title on the last day of the 2004/05 season - as well as coming to terms with the departure of the legendary Martin O’Neill - how would Gordon Strachan get Celtic back on track in the seasons that followed?
A 5-0 loss to Artmedia Bratislava in his first competitive game probably wasn’t the best way to get started in the new job, but what was to follow was a quite remarkable turnaround by the man in charge.
